Frequently Asked Questions
What do we believe?
We believe that God has called us together to be a community of faith in Jesus Christ who alone is Head of the Church. We believe Christ has commissioned us to advance God’s kingdom through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit. More information on what we believe can be found here.
When are the church's services?
We have two services every Sunday morning at 9:00 and 10:30.
What should I wear?
Wear what you like to wear.
What are Knox services like?
Knox worship services focus on fellowship, worship through music, and a message from our pastoral staff.
We share some announcements called "Life of Knox", sing songs, pray, and hear teachings from the Bible. The music at our 9:00 a.m. service features our Chancel Choir, Handbell Choir, hymns, and music of different traditional styles. The music at our 10:30 a.m. service features our Praise Team and is contemporary in style.
Coffee, refreshments, and fellowship are available between our two worship services in Fellowship Hall (10:00-10:30 a.m.). There are tables in available for those who prefer them.
Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out?
Rest assured that you won't be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. Though we do receive an offering during the worship services, we don't want anyone to feel obligated to give. We have a guest packet filled with information about our church that you might find helpful. Pick one up at the Information Center.
What about my kids?
When Sunday School meets which is most Sundays, the youngest class is for 3 year olds. This class meets during both services in the classroom next to the nursery and childcare rooms. The older preschool children (4 years old as of September 1 and older) attend the PreK and Kindergarten Sunday School class.
Our Sunday School program is available for children 3 year olds through Middle School, and is offered during both our 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Children in all classes except the youngest class for 3 year olds begin worship with their families. After our Children's Moment during the worship service children are invited to attend Sunday School. Your children are welcome in worship and may stay with you if you choose. In Sunday School your child will experience discussion, drama, crafts, games and small groups as Bible stories and scripture are explored and related to their own lives. More information on our Sunday School program can be found here.
High School youth are encouraged to worship on Sundays. The High School Bible Study is on Wednesday nights. More information on our youth programs can be found here.
