2012 KNOX CENTURY BIKE RIDE
Sunday, May 27, 2012
Join the fun for a final bike ride of the season and help benefit Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry of Naperville at the fourth Knox Century Bike Ride, Memorial day weekend.
This year, we are planning to ride the I&M Towpath along the Illinois River from Channahan to Starved Rock State Park on Sunday, May 27 after the 9:00 a.m. Worship. We will meet at the river Park off US 6 in Channahan at approximatelyl 11:00 a.m. for a picnic lunch and then head downriver on the Towpath Trail to Starved Rock—a journey of 50 miles. Dinner will be at the Lodge with accommodations in town for those riding back the next morning on Memorial Day. Since there are NO HILLS on this route (except the climb up to Starved Rock itself) this is an excellent ride for anyone good for 4-5 hours in the saddle riding 10-12 mph. on any kind of bike. For more details contact Dan Pucci or call Rev. Clint Roberts at 630-615-4304.
