New Procedures During This Time:
With all of the daily (and sometime hourly) changes at Hesed House, we have to be creative as to how Knox can best serve the guests. I have received over a dozen calls/texts/emails with people voicing their concern over how we are going to serve and how they can help. Amazing and wonderful that in these difficult times, so many of our members are concerned about the well-being of the guests at Hesed House.

Here is our plan for Hesed House this weekend:

Hesed House has asked for no volunteers, but are dependent on our delivery of food and provisions for dinner, breakfast and lunch.

In accordance, we have tried to be as creative and effective as possible so that we can serve Hesed House guests and keep our Knox members safe and healthy.

At this moment, here is our plan for Hesed House for this Saturday/Sunday:

A Knox family (who wishes to remain anonymous) is generously providing Maggiano’s dinner for 160 guests at Hesed House.

Breakfast will be provided by My Chef Catering. Mark Walter, the owner, is generously providing stuffed French toast, bacon and sausage at cost for the guests as Hesed House. Additionally, he is donating his time to make the breakfast. I would ask that Knox members please consider supporting My Chef Catering so that we can “pay it forward” for his kindness and generosity.

Lunch will be provided by11 different Knox families who are making a total of 175 shelf-stable brown bag lunches that and will be collected in curbside drop-off on Saturday at Knox and delivered to Hesed House.

If people would like to help they can:

~Pray for everyone preparing and delivering food, as well as for the guests

~Donate - on the Knox website Michal has designate a Hesed House - grocery store gift cards button OR they can donate to Knox and designate Hesed House

~Donate directly to Hesed House. Their immediate needs are listed on their website:
