Knox has a wide variety of adult ministry opportunities for members, visitors, and friends. Our opportunities range from religious education to social events. We encourage all adult members to find an activity that interests them. If you have an idea for a new adult ministry we would love to help you start something new, just contact the church office at 630-355-8181.
Bible Studies
Bible study brings depth to our journey with Christ. Our classes allow you to journey in faith with others who are seeking out Biblical truth and how it applies to everyday life. All classes welcome newcomers with any amount of biblical knowledge at any time.
Sunday
9:00 am - Class is facilitated by Tom Rose, Jan Reid and various other weekly leaders both in person and via Zoom.
10:30 am - Class is facilitated by Jim Clinton via Zoom.
7:00 pm - Class is facilitated by Frank Mayer via Zoom.
Tuesday
9:00 am - Men's Bible study and the class is facilitated by Frank Mayer via Zoom.
9:00 am - 10: 45 am - Class for women is facilitated by Sue Curry and other, room 203 at Knox.
Wednesday
9:15 am - 11:15 am - Women on Wednesdays - Class for women of all ages is facilitated Margaret Lambka & Robin Kolar. Look at Knox calendar of events for details on our current class.
7:30 pm - The class is for women and is facilitated by Daryl Varney and Luise Warren via Zoom.
Thursday
6:00 am - Men’s Daybreakers Group is meeting via Zoom; to be added to their e-mail list contact Joan Tanck.
9:30 am - 11:00 am - This class is facilitated by Darin Nettleton at Knox in the Middle School room.
7:00 pm - Class for Young Adult Group, led by Darin Nettleton via Zoom.
There are dozens of ways for men of all ages to get connected and involved with ManKIND Men’s Ministry at Knox. ManKIND looks to serve others through programs, service, educational and fellowship opportunities.
Bed Delivery
ManKIND partners with Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans to deliver mattresses and frames to veterans throughout the Chicagoland area.
Bible Study
Daybreakers meets at the coffee bar at 6:00 am every Thursday.
Cycling Group
Join your fellow Knox cyclists on group rides held throughout the year! Both men and women cyclists are welcome.
Educational Breakfast
A few times throughout the year enjoy food & fellowship while listening to a speaker on a topic of interest.
Fishing
Go fishing with your fellow ManKIND buddies.
Golf Outing
Grab your clubs and join your ManKind buddies for an afternoon of golf, fellowship and food! You will enjoy fun contests such as longest drive and closest to the pin.
Men's Smoker
Enjoy an evening of fellowship, food, corn hole and euchre tournaments.
Weekend Retreats
A time to get away from the busyness of life and connect with other men through team building, relaxation and Bible Study.

Garden Walk
Gather a group of your friends and enjoy this day together! Check the calendar in the spring for Garden Walk Date. The Garden Walk is planned for every other year. All proceeds benefit Bridge Communities.
PW Flower Sale
Presbyterian Women’s Annual Flower Sale. Flowers are grown in a Michigan Greenhouse and they offer us a great fundraising price. Hanging baskets or Premium Combo Pots are our most popular Mother’s Day gift! Or, pick out assorted flowers to plant for yourself, mother, wife or loved ones. Talk to anyone who has ordered and find out how beautiful and durable these flowers are.

Presbyterian Women's Retreat
Calling all women to join us at beautiful LaSalle Manor, 12480 Galena Rd in Plano IL. Meditate at the water’s edge, walk the Labyrinth, make new friends, strengthen old ties, join in crafts, rest, shop in their gift shop, and enjoy scrumptious meals! Presbyterian Women
Knox Presbyterian women is a community of women who encourage one another in their Christian journey through Bible study, fellowship, service to the church, community and the world. It is a part of the larger PW organization comprised of over 200,000 women within the Presbyterian Church USA.
Presbyterian Women Circles
If you want to grow in your faith, then join a community of caring women. Knox PW circles usually meet once per month or at regular intervals selected by members. These ladies nourish their faith, build relationships, work on mission projects, perhaps do a Bible study or experience an inspirational program, and pray together. We have a circle for every woman, no matter your stage of life.
Deborah Circle: This is a group of active women, ages 60+ who gather for food, fellowship, Bible study, and missions. You will find them wise and supportive. They love visitors and new members. Email Ann Beran Jones.
Mary/Martha Circle: Mary Martha Circle contains women of all ages and interests who come together to enjoy brunch, fellowship, inspirational programs, prayer, and missions. The circle meets the second Tuesday of every month at 9:30 a.m. in the Sr. High Room. Email Susan Burns.
Not Your Mother’s Circle: This group supports one another’s spiritual journey, promotes long-lasting friendships, and serves God’s purpose wherever there is a need. NYMC rotates location, and usually meets the second Saturday morning each month from 9:30 -11 am. The group also enjoys social and local mission centric activities. Most members work part or fulltime and have young adult children. New members welcome. Email Sue Goll
Rachel-Rebekah Circle: The Circle meets the second Tuesday of every month at 1:30 in the Middle School room. All women are invited to join in this circle of fellowship and Bible study each month. They also participate in mission projects the group selects. Please contact Nancy Emond and Sue Anne Lauzen.
Ruth Circle: They meet the 3rd Thursday of the month at Knox in the Parlor at 7:00 pm. Ruth is an eclectic group of women who focus on fellowship, support of one another, devotionals, and missions within Knox Church.

WOW - Women on Wednesday: Whether you are a mom with young children or school-aged children, whether you are single, retired or somewhere in-between, Women On Wednesdays wants you...and your friends and neighbors! This program is a Bible study for women, with childcare and activities for infants through Kindergarten. WOW meets from 9:15 - 11:15 am with fellowship and refreshments, followed by large and small group discussions, DVD presentations and prayer. Questions?
