Dakota Partnership

Missions & Outreach

This independent mission grew from Knox’s connection to churches in the Dakota Presbytery in South Dakota. Knox supports this mission with contributions that go to improve life situations of Native Americans of the Dakotas and Montana. In addition, Knox supports an annual family mission trip to Sisseton, South Dakota where we participate in various building projects and mentor local children through a Vacation Bible School program.

We have a collection bin inside Knox to drop off special donations during the year.

Help Refugees Who Have Fled War-torn Ukraine

Give through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA)

As the violence continues, the number of people being displaced and fleeing to neighboring countries increases by the day.  And in the midst of the chaos, there are sibling churches and ecumenical partners who are already providing assistance with basic items for survival.  The first priority of PDA is to provide funding to these partners on the ground.  While the scale of this crisis is new, receiving refugees from Ukraine and other countries in Central and Eastern Europe is not, which means PDA has trusted, established partners with the knowledge and expertise to carry out this important work.

PDA is hearing that the reformed churches in Ukraine and the region are also feeling called to join in the humanitarian response. PDA, therefore, anticipates that our response will include both financial and technical assistance as the network of faith communities providing humanitarian assistance grows in the months ahead.  Funds are currently being used for emergency humanitarian aid such as food items, shelter, medicines, diapers, hygiene items, etc.
