Senior Interim Pastor
Pat grew up in a Presbyterian and a Marine Corps family with frontier-era family roots in Middle Tennessee. Having lived in 5 states, he spent his high school and college years back in the Volunteer State in Murfreesboro.
His sense of call to pastoral ministry came during those years and led to seminary on the far North Shore of Chicago and congregational leadership in Decatur, Georgia, Knoxville, Tennessee, Frankfort, Indiana, Montgomery, Alabama, Zionsville, Indiana, Mattituck, Long Island, New York and Muncie, Indiana.
In these last two congregations, Pat has served as interim pastor. In this role, Pat has the rich privilege of coming into and alongside churches that are in transition to help stir fresh understanding of the mission of Jesus and how the people of God might best live into all that God desires. Pat views life as an adventure as every day provides a new opportunity to walk by faith, loving God and people more and more.
Pat and his wife, Laura, have two sons. Elder son, Caleb, is Director of Coaching and Residency for a national church-planting group called Converge. Caleb and his wife, Tisha, have two sons (13 and 10) and live in Orlando, Florida. Younger son, Andrew, is Winemaker and General Manager of Antiquum Farms in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. Andrew lives in Corvallis.
Pat loves long conversations around tables where food and drink and life are shared. His heart resonates with a small footprint life and how to live that close-up life with all people who come across his path. Walking, kayaking, watching films and visiting family bring him joy. Pat golfs on occasion, and he always has a book or two in progress. He loves the challenge and gift of following Jesus.
