Interim Associate Pastor
Rev. Dr. Tassie Green recently joined Knox's staff as Interim Associate Pastor. Tassie will be sharing her energy, joy, and motivation with us to join in what God is doing through Knox’s missions, adult ministries, and congregational care of one another. Tassie is an transitional ministry specialist and serves on the faculty of Midwest Leadership Initiative, training Interim Pastors for the PCUSA. She recently completed 2 Bridge Pastor terms at Heritage, Carol Stream and First Pres, Deerfield and worked for the Presbytery of Chicago as a trainer and coach for the “Pro-active Transformation Project." She has also served large congregations as an Associate Pastor in Hinsdale, Indianapolis, and Philly. Tassie's vision statement is, “Helping make Jesus real in the lives of families, beginning with our own.” Tassie and her husband Ken are a clergy couple who live in Palatine, IL and have two grown children: Michael, a sophomore at Augustana College in the Quad Cities, and Carlina, working in immigration law with Catholic Charities in San Mateo, CA. Ken serves the church with the Board Of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (USA) as a regional church consultant for 3 synods.
