Rev. Becca Bruner
Co-Pastor
Hi there! My name is Becca Bruner and I am thrilled to be serving, alongside my husband, Dave, as the Co-Pastor of Knox Presbyterian Church.
I grew up as the daughter of a Presbyterian pastor and a singing teacher, all along the west coast- in Cailfornia, Oregon and Washington. I commited my life to following Jesus Christ when I was six years old and began to discern a call to ministry during my high school years. I attended college at Seattle Pacific University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Educational Ministry and Youth Ministry. My passion for sharing Jesus' love with all people was solidified throughout college and young adulthood as I served in ministry at places like Bethany Presbyterian Church in Seattle, Mount Hermon Christian Camps in Santa Cruz, California and Mercer Island Presbyterian Church outside Seattle. I began my own journey of becoming a Presbyterian pastor by attending Princeton Theological Seminary where I earned my Masters of Divinity in 2007. As a bonus, Princeton is also where I met Dave - we were married the same year we graduated!
Since getting married, Dave and I have lived and served in ministry in St. Paul, Minnesota; Bloomington/Normal, Illinois; Princeton, New Jersey; and Paoli, Pennsylvania. At Paoli Presbyterian Church, I served first as their Associate Pastor for Young Adults & Families for six years, and then as their Co-Pastor for four. In all my ministry experiences, there is nothing I love more than lifting up the person and work of Jesus Christ and seeing people's lives transformed by Him.
Dave and I are the very proud parents of Eleanor, Benjamin and Margaret (who goes by Meg); and happy dog-parents to Felix, our COVID dog. In my spare time, I love to run, read, listen to podcasts, sing, cook, and share food and wine with good friends. I am most relaxed whenever I'm beside any body of water- pool, lake, river or ocean. But I don't relax often, as I've rarely met a project I don't want to complete!
I love spending time with people and learning their stories - whether on a walk, over a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Please reach out to me to set up a time to get together! I can't wait to meet you.
