Kerry Rousseau

BUILDING ASSISTANT

Hi, I’m Kerry Rousseau, and my official title is Building Assistant at Knox Presbyterian Church.
In my role that means helping to keep things running smoothly and looking there best. This could be creating decorative moving walls for the praise band or a drum platform that rolls. I work to keep things running smoothly in between events and during them. I enjoy creating these things and helping wherever needed.

I have lived in Naperville since 1968 when the population was approximately 12,000 people. I have owned a clothing store in Wheaton for 25 years. I then worked for and bought a printing broker business until I retired. I have also restored a home in Historic Downtown Naperville.

I was able to be a caregiver for my parents for 12 years until both passed on. I have one older sister Mickey who lives in North Aurora. My wife Lorenda who is affectionately known to some as the Cookie Lady. She loves to talk, and I love that it means I don’t have to.

I was born in Vermont and lived on the East coast in Vermont, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island and we still have a camp in Vermont that has been in my family for over 100 years.
